How to Set the Mail Server
This section provides an example that describes how to set the e-
mail server that sends e-mail notification messages about controller
events.
To display the name of the computer on which the current e-mail
server is set, use the
mail show server
command as in the
following example. In the example, the Mail Server item indicates
that Hercules is the name of the computer on which the e-mail
server is set.
HPN0> mail show server
Executing: mail show server
Mail Server : Hercules
To specify the computer with an e-mail server that is to process
controller event notification messages, use the
mail set server
command, as in the following example. In the example, the
/computer
switch specifies Hercules as the name of the computer on
which the current e-mail server is currently set. The /domain switch
specifies Hades as the domain in which the current e-mail server is
set. Ares is the name of the computer that is to be set as the new e-
mail server.
HPN0> mail set server /computer=Hercules /domain=Hades "Ares"
Executing: mail set server /computer="Hercules" /domain="Hades"
"Ares"
After executing the
mail set server
command, use the
show server
command to verify that the server was set. In the
example, the Mail Server item indicates that Ares is the name of the
computer on which the e-mail server is set.

Setting Mail Message Reporting
The CLI allows you to display information about controller events
for which e-mail notification messages have been sent. The CLI
allows you to specify one or more controller events for which you
can display e-mail message information.
