In the following example, the container create mstripe
command with the /stripe switch creates a stripe set of RAID-5 sets
with a stripe size of 64 KB (kilobytes).
HPN0> container create mstripe /stripe=64K 0 1

Specifying a Label for a Stripe Set of RAID-5 Sets
The container label attribute identifies a name assigned to a
container. Note that this label is not the label that displays in
Windows Explorer and Disk Administrator. You can specify a label
while creating a stripe set of RAID-5 sets or at a later time using the
container set label command. See Displaying and Setting a
Container Label in Chapter 6, Working with Container Attributes, for a
description of the
container set label command.
In the following example, the container create mstripe
command with the /label switch creates a stripe set of RAID-5 sets
with the label Saturn.
HPN0> container create mstripe /label=Saturn 0 1
Executing: container create mstripe /label="Saturn" 0 1
Container 0 created
Understanding How to Create a Stripe Set of RAID-5 Sets
This section provides an example that describes how to create a
stripe set of RAID-5 sets.
Before creating a stripe set of RAID-5 sets, be sure that the RAID-5
sets that are to be striped have been created. See Working with a
RAID-5 Set in Chapter 7, Working With Single-level Containers, for
information on creating a RAID-5 set. Use the
container list
command to display information about your containers, as in the
following example. In the example, the Type column indicates two
RAID-5
sets that reside on containers 0 and 1.
