Understanding RAID-5 Set State Attributes
The
RAID-5 set state
attribute indicates the use of a RAID-5 set
during a RAID-5 set creation operation. Table 6-11 lists the
RAID-5
set state
attribute, the CLI operation associated with this
attribute, the CLI command you use to perform this operation, and
the section that describes the operation.

Displaying the RAID-5 Set Unprotected State
The
RAID-5 set unprotected state
attribute indicates that a
RAID-5 set is being created. During creation, the RAID-5 set is not
redundant. To display whether a RAID-5 set is being created, use the
container list
command with the
/full
switch, as in the
following example. In the example, the State column indicates
Unprot
, which means that container 0 is a RAID-5 set that is being
created and that it is currently not redundant. (Note that the
example eliminates some items in the
container list
display to
make the example readable on this page.)
HPN0> container list /full=TRUE
Executing: container list /full=TRUE
