Displaying the Mail Body Line

The

mail body line

attribute indicates the controller name, time,

and date associated with a controller event that sent an e-mail
notification message. The CLI software determines the content of a
body line according to the event type. To display the mail body line
of an e-mail notification message, use the

mail show message

command, as in the following example. In the example, the Body
item indicates the following e-mail body line: The controller
"%adapter%" sent the following text
message.%nl%%text%%nl%Computer : %host%%nl%TIME :
%time%%nl%DATE : %date%%nl%%nl%

Note that the message

format uses variables that get filled in when a real event occurs. See
the Command Line Interface Reference Guide for a description of the
variables.

Setting the Mail Server

The CLI allows you to specify the computer from which a mail
server is to process e-mail notification messages for controller
events. The server can be on the local computer or on a remote
computer. If the e-mail server is on a remote computer, the Remote
Management Service Agent must be running on that computer.
