Live Data
The real-time data displayed in HP P6000 Performance Advisor chart (Live chart).
M
Minor and Major
threshold levels
The first and second threshold levels associated with a specific performance counter that user
selects while creating threshold profile, or plotting live chart on Dashboard. If performance data
is below the minor threshold level, the performance object with reference to the performance
counter is considered to be in a Normal state. If performance data has exceeded the minor
threshold level but still within the major threshold level, the performance object with reference to
the performance counter is considered to be in a Warning state. If performance data has exceeded
the major threshold level, the performance object with reference to the performance counter is
considered to be in a Critical state.
P
Performance
Counter
Each object type has a set of associated counters that characterize the workload and performance
metrics for all performance objects belonging to that object type. The performance of an object
is monitored for all the specific set of counters. These counters can belong to different categories
based on their units of measurements. For more information, see
.
Performance Data
Performance data indicates the performance of an object for a specific counter. For more
information, see
“Performance and state data” (page 28)
.
Performance
Object
A performance object is an entity or instance in P6000 and EVA storage systems that can be
monitored for its performance, and can belong to any of the following object types:
•
Storage System
•
Controller
•
Host Port
•
Virtual Disk
•
Virtual Disk Group
•
Host Connection
•
Physical Disk
•
Physical Disk Group
•
Data Replication Tunnel
•
Data Replication Group
R
Report Granularity
The interval of data used to create a report, includes the following granularity levels:
•
Polling Interval
•
Hourly Average
•
Daily Average
For more information, see
.
Retention Period
The duration for which performance data will be retained in P6000 Performance Advisor server.
For more information, see
“Performance and state data” (page 28)
.
S
State Data
State data refers to the management information about an object collected from HP P6000
Command View for the current operational state of the object in HP P6000 Performance Advisor.
For example, virtual disk state data includes write mode of the virtual disk and RAID level. For
more information, see
“Performance and state data” (page 28)
