Cause of event
Event categories
You perform any of the following:
Setup and Config
•
Add or remove HP P6000 Performance Data Collector
instances, or edit the configured port number for an HP
P6000 Performance Data Collector instance.
•
Add storage systems or performance objects and
configure the monitoring settings.
•
Edit monitoring settings for a storage system or
performance object.
•
Remove storage systems or performance objects from
monitoring.
•
Update object state, start or stop data collection.
•
Remove storage systems or performance objects from
monitoring.
•
Add, edit, or remove threshold profiles
Performance of the storage system, controller, or host port
exceeds or drops below the configured dashboard
threshold levels.
Dashboard
You export data for a storage system.
Export
You create or delete charts, or edit configured chart
settings.

The following table describes the event severity levels displayed in the Event Log page:
Description
Event severity levels
The activity needs immediate attention.
Critical
For example, an object's performance for a counter
exceeds the Major threshold level.
A failure has occurred that does not require immediate
attention.
Warning
For example, an object's performance for a counter
exceeds the Minor threshold level.
Important details are available.
Informational
For example, threshold monitoring is started for a storage
system.
Exporting events
You can export events to a csv file that can be opened later in Microsoft Excel.
IMPORTANT:
Exports are not limited by the event filters. All events are exported. Also, exporting
events may take time depending on the number of events to be exported.
Procedure
To export the event log:
1.
Execute the first 3 steps described in the procedure under
“Viewing the event log” (page 129)
.
2.
In the Event Log pane, click Export.
The File Download window opens and displays the file attributes, such as the file name, type,
and size. The format of the file name is
