Explanation/Resolution: This might happen if HP P6000 Performance Advisor is processing
memory-intense requests while you are trying to create a report. In such a case, the Out of
memory

exception is logged in the EVAPAmainlog.log file. Retry report creation when HP

P6000 Performance Advisor is not processing any memory-intense requests. You can verify the
same by checking the CPU utilization of tomcat6.exe process under the Processes tab in the
Windows Task Manager. The tomcat6.exe process is related to the HP P6000 Performance
Advisor Server service.

If the issue persists, do the following:

1.

Stop the HP P6000 Performance Advisor Server service.

2.

Start the HP P6000 Performance Advisor Server service.

Then, retry the task.

Error message: Unable to process the request, close the current client browser session, open a new
session, and try to login again. If it fails, restart the HP MIF service. If the issue persists, refer to
troubleshooting section in the P6000 Performance Advisor help.

Explanation/Resolution: The request that you initiated cannot be processed at the moment. Do the
following:

1.

Stop and then start the HP MIF service.

2.

Stop the HP P6000 Performance Advisor Database and HP P6000 Performance Advisor Server
services.

3.

Start the HP P6000 Performance Advisor Database and HP P6000 Performance Advisor Server
services.

Retry the task.

Error message: Error No Privilege.

Explanation/Resolution: The request that you initiate cannot be processed at the moment due to
insufficient user privileges. Ensure that the user is a part of the HP Storage Admins or HP Storage
Users group on the management server (authenticator), which authenticates user requests in the
management group.

Error message: Error Unknown Handle

Explanation/Resolution: The current session might have timed-out. Re-login to the session and retry
the operation.

Dashboard and charts

Error message: Selected object type is not supported by HP P6000 Performance Advisor.

Explanation/Resolution: Retry the task.

Error message: Unable to add the selected Key Performance Indicators. Only maximum 25 records
are allowed. Remove a few of the existing unwanted records to add the new ones.

Explanation/Resolution: You can add and monitor a maximum of only 25 KPI records at a time.
If you want to monitor a combination of performance object and counter as a KPI, remove an
existing KPI from the monitored list. For more information, see

“Viewing and managing the

Dashboard KPIs” (page 100)

.

Error message: Unable to list the physical disks, as the selected disk group is not monitored. Add
the disk group for monitoring or navigate to the sub-folders in the navigation pane to plot the charts.
