Possible reasons:
•
The managing HP P6000 Command View instance is not reachable.
•
The performance object is already added for monitoring.
Solution:
1.
Verify status of the performance object in the HP P6000 Command View instance that is
managing the storage system.
2.
Verify if the HP P6000 Command View instance is accessible and in the same management
group.
Check if the Connection Status shows as Up under the Command View Settings tab. For more
information, see
“Viewing HP P6000 Command View instances” (page 73)
. Start the HP
P6000 Command View service.
If the issue persists:
1.
Stop the HP P6000 Command View service.
2.
Start the HP P6000 Command View service.
Not receiving SMTP notifications or SNMP traps
Possible reasons:
•
Incorrect SMTP or SNMP configuration in HP P6000 Performance Advisor.
•
The SMTP or SNMP server might not be accessible.
•
Ensure that EVAPA server is configured to send and receive SMTP or SNMP.
Solution:
1.
Verify the SMTP or SNMP configuration in HP P6000 Performance Advisor and make the
appropriate corrections. For more information, see
“SMTP and SNMP notification settings”
.
2.
If the SMTP or SNMP configuration is valid, verify if the SMTP or SNMP server is accessible.
If the issue persists:
1.
Stop the HP P6000 Performance Advisor Server service.
2.
Start the HP P6000 Performance Advisor Server service.
Performance data collection for a LUN has stopped.
Possible reasons:
•
The LUN has been removed from monitoring in the HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance.
•
The data collection has been stopped for the storage system.
•
The LUN WWN has changed due to certain management operations.
Solution:
1.
Start the data collection for the storage system, if it has been stopped.
2.
Check if a warning event is generated that describes whether the LUN has stopped the data
collection due to change in LUN WWN.
3.
Delete the LUN from monitoring and add it again.
Controller Replacement
Possible reasons:
•
One of the controller has failed.
•
A controller hardware issue is found.
Solution:
1.
Replace the controller with a new controller hardware.
2.
Restart the HP P6000 PA Server service.
