Use the Filter by list to view purge records that match the criteria you specify. For more information,
see
“Using the Filter by list” (page 16) .
If purge activities are not yet configured, the records will not be displayed. For more information
on configuring purge activities, see
“Purging data” (page 135) .
Re-purging data
You can re-purge data for which the current purge tasks are in Pending state. The data re-purge
works only if there is no other purge task in progress.
Procedure
To re-purge data:
1.
In the Navigation pane, click Settings.
2. From the list, click the plus (+) sign for the HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance.
3. From the list, select Database.
4. Click the Purge History tab and then click Repurge.
5. In the Re-purge data window, you are prompted to confirm if data should be re-purged for
the performance object for which the current purge activity is in Pending state.
6. At the prompt, click OK.
Cleaning purge history
You can clean up the purge history table by removing purge records that are in Completed,
Failed
, or No data to delete state.
Procedure
To clean purge history:
1.
In the Navigation pane, click Settings.
2. From the list, click the plus (+) sign for the HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance.
3. From the list, select Database.
4. Click the Purge History tab.
5. From the list, select the records that are in Completed, Failed, or No data to delete
state, and click Clean Up.
6. In the Clean Purge History window, you are prompted to confirm whether the selected records
can be removed.
7. Click OK.
Data backup and restore
You can back up the HP P6000 Performance Advisor database and restore data to the same server
or another server that has HP P6000 Performance Advisor installed. The following command line
utilities enable you to perform the backup and restore activities:

Restore utility: dbRestoreBackupDump.exe
