Explanation/Resolution: The disk group for the physical disks might not be added for monitoring
in HP P6000 Performance Advisor. You can also navigate to the folder under the Disk Group folder
in the Navigation pane to plot charts for the physical disks.

Error messages:

Unable to fetch live data; the storage system, controller, host port, or HP P6000 Performance
Data Collector might be inaccessible, or there may be a failure in network connection. Please
resolve the issue and refresh the current content pane to reload the live chart.

Unable to fetch live data; the storage system or HP P6000 Performance Data Collector might
be inaccessible, or there may be a failure in network connection. Please resolve the issue and
refresh the current content pane to reload the live chart.

Unable to fetch live data; the controller or HP P6000 Performance Data Collector might be
inaccessible, or there may be a failure in network connection. Please resolve the issue and
refresh the current content pane to reload the live chart.

Explanation/Resolution: Even after refreshing the current content pane, if the live data is not shown,
it might be because the performance data collection may not be in progress or the license may
have expired for the storage system. Ensure the following in HP P6000 Performance Advisor:

The performance data collection is in progress for the storage system. Started must appear
in the Data Collection Enabled column under the Monitoring tab. For more information, see

“Viewing configured monitoring settings for storage systems” (page 73)

.

To start performance data collection, see

“Starting or stopping data collection for a storage

system” (page 77)

.

2.

The license state for the storage system must be displayed as Valid under the Summary tab
(Settings > HP P6000 Performance Advisor Instance > Storage Systems > Individual storage
system) and under the Monitoring tab (Settings > HP P6000 Performance Advisor Instance >
Configuration). For more information, see

“Licensing behavior in HP P6000 Performance

Advisor” (page 88)

Explanation/Resolution: The HP P6000 Performance Advisor database might be inaccessible or
in an inoperable state. Wait for a few minutes and retry the task. If the issue persists, do the
