Error message: Unable to update state for the selected storage system, as the connection might
not exist with HP P6000 Command View instance. Resolve the connection issue and retry the task.
Explanation/Resolution: The selected storage system might not be accessible from the discovered
HP P6000 Command View instances or the HP P6000 Command View instance managing the
storage system might not belong to the same management group as that of the HP P6000
Performance Advisor instance configured to monitor the storage system.
Resolve the above mentioned and retry the task.
Error message: A connection cannot be established HP P6000 Command View. Please check the
connectivity. For more details refer HP P6000 Performance Advisor user guide.
Explanation/Resolution: The HP P6000 Command View instance might be inaccessible or might
not belong to the same management group as that of the HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance
that is configured to monitor the storage system.
Resolve the above mentioned and retry the task.
Error message: Unable to remove selected objects, refer to troubleshooting section in HP P6000
Performance Advisor user guide to resolve the issue
Explanation/Resolution: The performance object might already be removed in HP P6000
Performance Advisor. Refresh the current page to ensure that the performance object instance you
want to remove is listed and retry the task.
Error message: Unable to start data collection for the selected storage system, please add at least
one HP P6000 Performance Data Collector instance that can access the storage system to collect
data. Refer to HP P6000 Performance Advisor user guide for more information.
Explanation/Resolution: Ensure the following:
•
The storage system is added for monitoring in HP P6000 Performance Advisor. The storage
system appears in the monitored list under the Monitoring tab. For more information, see
“Viewing configured monitoring settings for storage systems” (page 73) .
•
No other HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance is monitoring the storage system.
•
At least one of the configured HP P6000 Performance Data Collector instances is able to
access the storage system.
•
The HP P6000 Command View instance managing the storage system is accessible and
belongs to the same management group as that of the HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance.
Error message: Selected storage systems might not be monitored; data collection might be disabled
or stopped. Please add the storage systems for monitoring; ensure that data collection is enabled
and started. Refer to HP P6000 Performance Advisor user guide for more information.
Explanation/Resolution: The selected storage system might be removed from monitoring or the
data collection might not be in progress for the storage system. Ensure the following:
•
The storage system is listed in the current monitored list under the Monitoring tab (Settings >
HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance > Configuration > Performance). For more information,
see
“Viewing configured monitoring settings for storage systems” (page 73) .
If not listed, add the storage system to the monitored list.
•
The performance data collection is in progress for the storage system. The data collection
status is displayed as part of the summary for the selected HP P6000 Performance Advisor
instance under the Monitoring Status column. For more information, see
“Viewing the HP
P6000 Performance Advisor configuration summary” (page 88) .
If the data collection is manually stopped, start the data collection again. For more information,
see
“Starting or stopping data collection for a storage system” (page 77) .
Retry the task.
