Verify the last state data collection event logged in the Event Log. The event code for the
object state change belongs to the following range – 22000 – 22999.

Wait for the HP P6000 Performance Advisor instance to initiate the next state data update
cycle.
4.
Verify the state data for the performance object.
•
If it is a manual update:
1.
Verify the last state data collection event logged in the Event Log. The event code for the
object state change belongs to the following range – 22000 – 22999.
2.
Retry the task and verify the state data for the performance object.
•
If the issue still persists:
1.
Verify if the HP P6000 Command View instance is accessible.
Check if the Connection Status shows as Up under the Command View Settings tab. For
more information, see
“Viewing HP P6000 Command View instances” (page 73)
.
2.
Start the HP P6000 Command View service. Then, select the storage system under the
Monitoring tab and click Update Object Status in HP P6000 Performance Advisor. For
more information, see
“Updating the object state for a storage system” (page 78)
Performance data is not available for a storage system or performance object for the specified
duration.
Possible reasons:
During the requested time period
•
The storage system or performance object may not have been added for monitoring in HP
P6000 Performance Advisor
•
The storage system or performance object is in a failed state in the HP P6000 Command View
instance that is managing the storage system
•
The configuration specified for the HP P6000 Performance Data Collector instance that is
accessing the storage system is incorrect
•
The HP P6000 Performance Data Collector service is not active or the server where the HP
P6000 Performance Data Collector instance is installed is not reachable
Solution:
1.
Add the storage system or performance object for monitoring. For more information, see
“Adding performance objects for monitoring” (page 55)
.
2.
Verify the storage system or performance object status in the HP P6000 Command View
instance that is managing the corresponding storage system. Also, verify the EVA Controller
Event log.
3.
Verify the current configuration of the HP P6000 Performance Data Collector instance and
make the appropriate changes. For more information, see
“Editing the port number of HP
P6000 Performance Data Collector instances” (page 72)
4.
Verify the status of the HP P6000 Performance Data Collector instance in HP P6000
Performance Advisor. Check if the Connection Status shows as Up under the Performance
Data Collector Settings tab. If the Connection Status is Down, start the HP P6000 Performance
Data Collector service. You can also add a new HP P6000 Performance Data Collector
instance that can access the same storage system. For more information, see
P6000 Performance Data Collector instance” (page 54)

5.
Use HP P6000 Performance Data Collector to verify if the storage system is accessible. You
can also verify the storage system connection status in HP P6000 Performance Advisor. For
more information, see
“Viewing the HP P6000 Performance Advisor configuration summary”
