Advanced Probe Setting
The Advanced Probe Setting dialog allows you to set the TX Signals and DFE_Control
(Decision Feedback Equalization) parameters.
You can set the TX Signals values for:
VOD (Programmable Differential Voltage)
Pre‐emphasis Pre‐tab
Pre‐emphasis first
Pre‐emphasis second
You can set the DFE_Control values for:
DFE_Tap1
DFE_Tap2
DFE_Tap3
DFE_Tap4
DFE_Tap5
reference voltage

3.15.2
References Probe Setting
The References Probe Setting dialog (see
) allows you to set the
three reference points defined by the SAS 3.0 specification (Reference 1, Reference 2 and
NoEq), in cases when the default reference points do not result in a clean link.
These settings only need to be applied once for each analyzer as they are saved by the
SAS/SATA Protocol Suite application on the host machine. Connecting to a different host
machine requires reapplying the settings.
