Sample Print

Press [Execute Sample Print] on the Machine Screen at the desired time to check the quality of printed
image.
A sheet of sample image will be delivered to the secondary (sub) tray of the finishing option in use.
% To suspend the output due to the poor quality of sample image, press Stop on the control panel.
% Please refer to page 2-22 for details of subsequent operations.

Setting Sample Print before Output: Sample Print Setting
Press [Sample Print Setting] on the Machine Screen to previously set the Sample Print function before start-
ing an output job. With this function set, the machine automatically delivers a sample print in specified cycle
during the output job.

Specify whether or not to perform Sample Print.

When setting Sample Print, select [Print Per Sheet Cycle] to output a sample in every specified number
of sheets, or [Print Per Set Number] to output a sample in every specified set count.

Selecting [a: Sheet Cycle] of [Print Per Sheet Cycle] allows you to specify the number of sheets in a
cycle from 1 to 9,999. Specified number will be canceled if the sub power switch is turned off, Auto
Reset is activated, or the machine is reset manually.

Selecting [Print Per Set Number] requires the settings of [b: Interval Set Number] to specify the set
count for making a sample print, and [c: Sheet Page] to specify the page number of the set to be printed
as a sample. Setting range for [b: Interval Set Number] is from 1 to 9,999. Setting range for [c: Sheet
Page] is from 1 to 9,999.

If you select [Do Not Sample Print] during output, Sample Print will not be performed.

Sample Print is unavailable without the secondary (sub) tray for sample prints specified. Contact your
service representative, if desired.

Position the original, then press [COPY] tab to display the Copy Screen.
