Description

Element

The serial number of the drive.

Physical SN

The logical serial number that the library assigns to a drive
in a specific location. This is not the serial number of the
particular drive (see Physical SN in this table).

If a drive is replaced by another drive in the same library
location, the logical serial number remains the same. From

Logical SN

the host's perspective, the replacement drive is the same
as the original one.

If the logical serial number addressing feature is disabled
for the library, Disabled appears in this field.

The location of the drive by means of a coordinate system.
For information about location coordinates, see

“Understanding location coordinates” (page 88)

Location

The type of drive (for example, LTO4 for LTO-4 tape drives).

Drive Type

The type of interface (FC).

Interface Type

The World Wide Name of the drive.

WWN

The assigned logical unit number.

Assigned LUN

The status of the drive (Varied On or Varied Off).

Online Status

If the drive currently has no errors, No Error appears in
this field.

Drive Error Code

If the library is unable to acquire a drive error code, such
as when the robotics are disabled, Unavailable appears
in this field.

The status of the drive as reported by the event system (for
example, Good or Failed).

Health Status

For Fibre drives only, the loop ID assigned to the drive.

Fibre Channel Loop ID

For Fibre drives only, the way in which the loop ID is
assigned to the drive (Hard or Soft).

Fibre Channel Loop ID Mode

The number of loads during the drive history in this library.

Number of Loads

The number of read errors that have occurred during the
drive history in this library.

Read Errors

The number of write errors that have occurred during the
drive history in this library.

Write Errors

The amount of data in megabytes that the drive has read
during its history in this library.

Megabytes Read

The amount of data in megabytes that the drive has written
during its history in this library.
