About the K2 Coder
The K2 Coder is a K2 appliance. No Grass Valley license is required for the K2 Coder
to operate on a K2 SAN. The K2 Coder transcodes media formats not otherwise
supported on the K2 system. The K2 Coder works in both directions. It transcodes
files into the K2 SAN and it transcodes K2 clips out of the K2 SAN, as illustrated
below.
