Select Window | Close to save the form.
Use CTRL+Enter force a field to be valid. If you do not want to allow this, you can
switch this feature off by setting “Allow force valid” in the
General Properties
dialog
box to “FALSE.“
For fields that are extracted with an Advanced Zone Locator, “character exact
editing” is possible. By default this option is enabled for a validation form, but it can
be disabled for the form by setting the option “Character exact validation” for the
General Properties
to “FALSE.”
Shortcuts for Buttons
Buttons in Validation may have a shortcut, from F6 to F12, including all
combinations of CTRL and SHIFT. In Validation Designer, there are
Button
Properties
for setting shortcuts.
Integrators must not use these short cuts within their own applications.
Read-Only Fields
Fields in Validation may be read-only. Set the read-only option in the
Properties
.
"Always valid" for Simple Fields and Table Columns
If the option “Always valid” in the field properties dialog box in Extraction Design is
checked, a field or table column will be valid after extraction or during validation
even if
• the extraction was not confident, or
• a formatting method failed, or
• a dependent validation method failed.
In the case of a formatting failure or a validation method failure, an error message is
displayed inside the field or table column.
