Formats can be disabled using the check box in the first column of the list of formats.
This option is especially useful for testing different formats without having to delete
and re-enter the others:

To save computation time, the results of one Format Locator can be reused in a
second Format Locator. For example, it might be desirable in some cases to extract
several dates that all have the same format, and where the only difference is in the
keyword (for example, “Birth date:” or “Application date:“).
X To reuse alternatives of a Format Locator
1 Create a Format Locator as described above.

Create a second Format Locator.

Define a format for the first Format Locator.

In the properties dialog box of the second locator, select “Use results from
locator:”.

Select the name of the first Format Locator from the drop-down list.
Note
When testing the a locator that depends on another, the “upstream”
locator must be executed (tested) first so that it contains alternatives. If that is
not done, the second locator will not have any alternatives to re-evaluate.
