Concept
An evaluator that compares fields that are extracted with a zone locator to values in a
database, and returns a list of found hits.
Properties
The following sections describe how to set up the Address Evaluator.

To add and configure an Database Evaluator

Select Show Extraction Design from the Mode toolbar.

Add a new Database Evaluator.
Note
Make sure that you have already defined a locator, whose results will
be used by the Database Evaluator. This locator must appear above the
evaluator in the list of available locators, since it needs to be executed first.

Double-click on the new Database Evaluator in the list to open the Properties
dialog box.

On the “General” tab, select a database file from the drop down list. If
necessary click Database Settings to change to the
Project Settings –
Database
tab to add a new database or modify an existing one. For
details how to set up a database see Setting Up a Database on page 153.

As soon as the database file is selected, all the database fields will appear
in the Database Field column, and each row in the right column contains
lists with all the available locators. Each database field can be mapped to
a specific locator. You may select
fields are ignored for the database search.

All mapped fields are searched in the database where only the first
alternative of the mapped locator field is taken. The database evaluator
returns a list of database hits and confidences.

Click Test to test your settings. Be reminded to have a test document selected
to see results.

Add a new field to the list of available fields and assign a subfield of the
Database Evaluator. That the Database Evaluator subfield’s result is
