Step1 Insert one end of the cable to the RJ-45 connection of the FIC-1E1POS.
Step2 Connect the other end of the cable to its corresponding device.
Step3 Check the status of LINK LED on the FIC-1E1POS panel: ON means the link is connected and OFF
means the link is not connected. In the latter case, check the line.
Upgrading the E1POS module software
Step1 Download the module software to the CF of the router.
Step2 After the router that is inserted with the FIC-1E1POS is powered on and starts up, input bootrom
update file cfa0:/ filename slot slotnum to upgrade the FIC-1E1POS of a specified slot.
Step3 Run the display version command to display the driver version. If the version number is changed, the
upgrade is completed.
The driver version number is just like (Driver) 1.0 in the module information displayed as follows:
