TIMECODE

Select to change displayed timecode track, force Jam sync or reset camera clock.

JAM SYNC
Jam Sync instructs the camera to replace its internal Time of Day value with external timecode read from

the 5pin LEMO connector. This value is updated at the first frame of each recording, provided a valid ex-

ternal timecode source is present. If the external source is not present, the camera auto-increments the

timecode until the external source is re-connected. Unchecked by default.

CHAIN LINK ICON
When JAM SYNC is checked and an external timecode generator source is connected to the TIMECODE

connector (refer to

TIMECODE INPUT / OUTPUT

under APPENDIX D: INPUT/OUTPUT CONNECTORS)

and set to the same frame rates as the camera's project TIME BASE, a CHAIN LINK icon will be displayed

at the top of the EVF, LCD and all external monitors. This indicates a valid timecode signal is available to

the camera.

NOTE: Once Jam Synced, the camera will maintain Sync even if the external timecode source is
removed, until the next power cycle.

OUTPUT
Unchecked by default, when checked, timecode is enabled on the 5-pin LEMO timecode I/O connector. If

checked, the current Timecode value is provided on the 5-pin LEMO timecode I/O connector. Timecode

is always embedded in HD-SDI irrespective of this setting.

CROSS
Cross allows user to select between Cross JAM and Cross GEN. Unchecked by default.
1. Push in or down on joystick to place checkmark in CROSS checkbox.
2. MODE box will highlight to allow you to choose between GENERATE or JAM.
3. Twist joystick to change the highlighted MODE box to the desired setting.
