Error Message: VALID SETTINGS (Invalid Settings)
Establish the maximum PROJECT settings for the media you are using and change
the settings accordingly. Refer to BASIC OPERATION >
PROJECT SETUP

Error Message: SATA_TRANS_FAULT
The camera is detecting a communications fault between the camera and drives (RED-RAM or RED-
DRIVE). The fault it has detected may or may not be severe enough to cause corruptions on the clips, so it
is highly recommended that you review the R3D files. Try to narrow the fault to a specific RED DRIVE or
DRIVE CABLE, and contact RED Support for further troubleshooting at
Error Message: Record Error: NO_DIGMAG
No media is being detected. Reattempt to mount, check connection and CF/REDMAG pins in Side Mod-
ule, power cycle, or try another media.
Error Message: WARNING! Media Removed Prior Unmount Data Integrity Risk
Media needs to be removed properly. Use the dual key command UNDO+EXIT, or the menu option SYS-
TEM > MEDIA > UNMOUNT. Refer to
APPENDIX B: MANAGING DIGITAL MEDIA
Error Message: The CF Card Has Not Been Speed Verified For Use on This Camera. Only 2k Reso-
lution Recordings are Possible. There is an Unquantifiable Risk of Drop Frames.
This may occur if you are using Non-RED CF cards and/or you have a damaged CF card or REDMAG.
Error Message: Record Error: NO_MEDIA_PATH
When you have a card in the camera that is reading unformatted and you should continue by formatting

Error Message: Incompatible Project / Record Error: INCOMPATIBLE_DIGMAG
The following error may be displayed inserting a CF card or REDMAG or connecting a RED-DRIVE or
RED-RAM (the camera LCD will display DISK INCOMPATIBLE):
When this error is present, the camera will not record and will display the following message at the top of
the screen (the camera LCD will display INCOMPATIBLE_DIGMAG):
