SPOT METER
A red rectangular box will appear centered on the center cursor of the image. The size of this sample box
can be adjusted by rotating the joystick, and its location can be adjusted by moving the joystick in X and
Y directions. The speed of movement around the screen will reflect the size of the sample box. Push the
joystick to fix the sample box. The average IRE value of the pixels in the sample box is shown in the lower
section of the full camera display.
NOTE: Histograms are affected by White Balance, ISO, VIEW and LOOK settings, however if VIEW
is set to RAW, histograms will represent the exposure levels at the sensor i.e. prior to White Bal-
ance, ISO, VIEW and LOOK settings. The RAW histogram is the exception to this rule, in this case
the sensor exposure graph always represents true sensor exposure even though the underlying
colorless RGB graph will still be affected by White Balance, ISO, VIEW and LOOK settings.
RGB HIST
Displays the RGB monitor path values as adjusted by ISO, FLUT and LOOK settings.
NOTE: The RGB Histogram data is complemented by RAW Level and Clip Meters as well as RAW
Noise and Clip Level bars.
RAW LEVEL METER
The RAW Level meter is a vertical color bar style meter that indicates peak ex-
posure levels at the sensor. This meter is unaffected by White Balance, ISO,
VIEW or LOOK settings and therefore represents a true measurement of the
exposure levels of the sensor at all times. The meter is coded in stops, with red
indicating that some portion of the sensor is at or near clipping.
