File increment digits . . . . . . . . . . . This parameter sets the number of digits
used in the method run number. By default,
the index is three digits, but can be changed
between two and eight digits. This can also
be changed on the System Properties >>
Miscellaneous page under Data File
Increment Digits.
Add Date and Time. . . . . . . . . . . . . This parameter adds the date and time, in the
format yyyymmdd_hhmmss to the filename
(see
Figure 11-44
). This can be added as a
suffix, which uses an underscore before the
"yyyy" information, or as a prefix, which uses
an underscore after the "ss" information. The
format of the date and time is:
yyyy is the year the data was collected
mm is the month the data was collected
dd is the day the data was collected
hh is the hour data collection was started
mm is the minute data collection was
started
ss is the second data collection was
started.

Add as Suffix . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . When selected, along with Add Date and
Time, the date and time are added to the end
of the filename. It is preceded by an
underscore.
Use default directory . . . . . . . . . . . This selection sets the Method to store all of
its data in the default directory specified in
the Data File Path. When this selection is
unchecked, any valid path can be entered in
the Data File Path to specify data storage.
