Accessing the Terminal Diagnostics Menu
Diagnostics and Utilities
Terminal: PCMCIA TEST
Use this command to run a test on the PCMCIA card where the system writes and reads back
data to and from the card without destroying the contents of the card.

Insert the PCMCIA card into the socket on the PCMCIA board until it snaps into place.

On the diagnostic Main Menu, select PCMCIA TEST.
The Select Card Size Menu appears.

QUIT TO PCMCIA MENU

Select the appropriate card size.
This information should appear on the PCMCIA card label (if no size is indicated, assume that
the card is 128K).
The PCMCIA Test Menu appears.
PCMCIA TEST
1. SINGLE PASS
2. CONTINUOUS PASSES
3. STOP/START
4. RESTART TEST
5. QUIT TO MAIN MENU

Battery Status: OK
Test Count 000001 Fail: 000000
Address Failed: xxxxxx expected: XXXX read: XXXX

Select the required test option.
• Single Pass executes one pass through the test and stops. A Test Count/Test Fail display is
updated and the Address Failed line contains data values.
• Continuous Passes continually runs successive test passes until one of the other options is
selected. The Test Count/Test Fail display is updated after each pass.
• Stop/Start stops a continuous passes test that is currently running or restarts that test when
pressed again.
• Restart test option re-initializes the Test Count/Test Fail display, then executes the last
selected test option.
