If data is detected on the PCMCIA card, the system will query OVERWRITE CARD DATA?
[YES] [NO]. Select the appropriate response. If YES, the backup occurs and the system
responds BACKUP COMPLETED.

Remove the PCMCIA card from the slot by pressing the release tab at the top of the card
socket. Store the backup in a safe location. If required, you may slide the switch at the top of
the PCMCIA card to the left to write-protect the backup.

PCMCIA Restore

To perform PCMCIA Restore, proceed as follows:

Access the Utilities menu.

At the PCMCIA BAK/RESTORE command, press ENTER, then press the arrow key until
RESTORE appears. Then press ENTER.

Insert the PCMCIA card into the socket on the PCMCIA board.

The system displays PCMCIA RESTORE SYSTEM CONFIG. Use the arrow keys to scroll
between the other restore options (VEHICLE FILE, MANUAL FILE, TRANS FILE and ALL
FILES).
Note: ALL FILES option is available only for 256K card.

The system prompts SYS CONFIG RESTORE [YES] OR [NO]. Select YES. The system
displays Restoring Sys.Config.

If the system mode is different from the one being restored, the system prompts: RES
CHANGED MODE PRESS [YES] OR [NO].

Select the required option and press ENTER. The system displays the restore option selected,
and a confirmation prompt. Select YES to continue, or NO to change the option. The system
responds powering up card...please wait. The restore occurs and the system responds
RESTORE COMPLETED.

Remove the PCMCIA card from the socket by pressing the release tab at the top of the card
socket.

There are several messages that may appear during these operations. The messages and their
suggested actions are:

BATTERY DEAD
Replace the PCMCIA card’s battery.

BATTERY LOW PRESS ESC (ENTER TO CONT)
Battery on PCMCIA card is low. Backup/restore may be able to take place, but is risky. Press
ESC to exit and replace battery. Press ENTER to continue the backup/restore.

CARD NOT INSERTED
Insert card, or if card is inserted, verify that it is inserted correctly. Then re-attempt the action.
