Terminal: RAM TEST

Use this command to test the RAM module to make sure each location can be read from and
written to. This test is a non-destructive memory test that tests memory word storage and
address lines. If problems are detected in the single pass mode, the test is stopped.

1

On the diagnostic Main Menu, select RAM TEST.
The RAM Test Menu appears.

RAM TEST (non-destructive)

2. CONTINUOUS PASSES

3. STOP/START

4. RESTART

5. QUIT TO MAIN MENU

Test Count: 000005 Fail: 000000

2

Select the required option.

Single Pass executes one pass through the test and stops. The Fail indicator is incremented

by one and the expected and read codes contain values. If the Stop/Start option is selected,
the status line indicates the system is stopped. Pressing Stop/Start again displays the
previous final test status and starts the test from the next memory location.

Continuous Passes continually runs successive test passes until one of the other options is

selected. The Test Count/Fail display is updated after a successful pass. When the Stop/
Start selection is pressed in continuous pass mode, Stop/Start completes the test that is
currently running or restarts testing when pressed again.

Restart test option re-initializes the Test Count/Fail display, then executes the last

selected test option.

Terminal: ROM TEST

Use this command to test the ROM. The ROM Test option validates the System Program by
reading each byte stored in the programs memory while generating a checksum. It compares
this checksum with the checksum stored in the last two bytes of the program memory.

1

On the diagnostic Main Menu, select ROM TEST.
The ROM Test Menu appears.
