Accessing the Keypad Diagnostics Menu
When accessing diagnostics and utilities functions, pumps must be stopped. If pumps are in
run status (enabled) when entering diagnostic mode, they are returned to run status when
diagnostic mode is exited. If your TopKAT is a satellite, it must be offline to run diagnostics
(remove the port 2 connector and wait until the display shows OUT OF SERVICE).
Keypad Diagnostics Menu
To access the Keypad Diagnostics Menu, proceed as follows:

Access the Main Menu. Use arrow keys to display COMMAND: DIAGNOSTICS. Then press
ENTER.
If no transactions are in progress, pumps are automatically stopped. If there are transactions in
progress, access to these functions is denied.

Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the DIAGNOSTIC command choices. Press
ENTER when the required command is displayed.

To exit from the DIAGNOSTICS commands, press PREV as many times as necessary.
Keypad: PCU STATUS
Use this command to run a test on the pump control unit. The system will respond as to
whether the pump control unit is communicating (UP) or not communicating (DN).
At PCU STATUS, press ENTER. The system displays 1:UP or 1:DN.
Keypad: RAM TEST
Use this command to test the RAM module to make sure each location can be read from and
written to.

At RAM TEST, press ENTER. The system displays RAM PASSED or RAM FAILED.

Press ENTER to continue.
Keypad: ROM TEST
Use this command to read each location in the program chip (ROM), calculate a checksum,
and compare it to a checksum inserted in the program chip at the factory.

At ROM TEST, press ENTER. The system displays ROM PASSED or ROM FAILED.
