Accessing the Keypad Diagnostics Menu
Diagnostics and Utilities
Keypad: DIP SWITCH TEST
Use this option to display each switch (SW1) on the CPU PCB and its current status.

At DIP SWITCH TEST, press ENTER. The prompt for the first switch (MANAGER)
appears. Use the up or down arrow keys to display other prompts (SW1-2, PRINTER,
MODEM, PORT 2 BAUDRATE, PORT 3 BAUDRATE, SWITCH).

At the MANAGER, PRINTER, and MODEM selections, press ENTER to display if the
switch is ENABLED (open) or DISABLED (closed). The SW1-2 prompt indicates UP (open)
or DN (closed). Press ENTER again or PREV to return to the switch prompt level.

At the PORT 2 BAUDRATE and PORT 3 BAUDRATE selection, press ENTER and then use
the arrow keys to select the required baud rate. Press ENTER again or PREV to return to the
switch prompt level.

At the SWITCH selection, press ENTER. A 2-line display appears showing the settings read
when the system is first powered up and the current settings for each switch (0=closed;
1=open).
Keypad: KEYPAD TEST
Use this command to display the information received at the keypad.

At KEYPAD TEST, press ENTER.
Any keys pressed at the keypad display on the LCD display.

Press ENTER twice to exit this test.
Keypad: DISPLAY TEST
Use this command to verify the display by displaying each character in the ASCII set.

At DISPLAY TEST, press ENTER. Sequences of characters display on the LCD.

Pressing any key except ENTER starts/stops display sequences. ENTER exits back to the
display test menu.
Keypad: KEY READ TOTALIZER
Use this command to display the number of times your key receptacle has been used, since the
last reset.
At KEY READ TOTALIZER, press ENTER. The key read total is displayed.
Reset Key Read Totalizer
After displaying the key read totalizer, you can reset the totalizer by pressing 1 2 3 and
ENTER. The system responds Reset Totalizer? PRESS [YES] OR [NO]. Select the
appropriate response.
