For systems with the terminal option on port 2, determine whether the logger option should be
enabled. It is disabled at the factory. When enabled, transactions will print to the terminal upon
completion. To change the setting of this command:
Sequence: Setup/Config Trans File/Config Trans Logger

Determine whether Memory Protection is required. The system is shipped with the Memory
Protection enabled, which means if transactions are not polled out of the system, the memory
could fill up and stop accepting new transactions until polling is completed. Disabling
Memory Protection means transactions may be overwritten as memory fills.

Execute the RUN command to start communications between the dispensing equipment and
the TopKAT. This command is valid at the master only when used in master/satellite
combinations.
Sequence: Setup/Run

Exit Setup mode. Move CPU board switch SW1, position 1 to Closed.

Keypad Setup for Satellite Mode

To enter into the Keypad Setup for Satellite Mode, proceed as follows:

Enter Setup mode; move CPU board switch SW1, position 1 to Open.

Load the system mode (SATELLITE).
Sequence: Setup/Load Mode/selection

Load the type of entry mode to be used from this list:

• KEY ONLY
• KEYPAD ONLY
• KEY OR KEYPAD

Sequence: Setup/Select Entry Mode/selection

Load the Poll Address.
Sequence: Setup/Load Poll Address

Clear the transaction file.
Sequence: Setup/Config Trans File/Clear Trans File

Load the initial transaction number to 1.
Sequence: Setup/Config Trans File/Load Trans Number
