Accessing the Terminal Commands

Terminal Commands

DIAGnostics (DIAG)

Use this command to access the enhanced diagnostics available to the TopKAT via the
terminal. The available diagnostics are covered in

“Diagnostics and Utilities”

beginning on

page 71

Type DIAG, press ENTER.
The diagnostic Main Menu appears.

MAIN MENU

1. RAM TEST

2. ROM TEST

3. DIP SWITCH TEST

4. HEALTH LIGHT TEST

5. BEEPER TEST

6. DISPLAY TEST

7. KEYPAD TEST

8. DATAKEY TEST

9. PORT TEST

13. QUIT (RESETS SYSTEM)

Select the required option. The test options are covered alphabetically in this section.

When you select the Quit option, the system resets and displays the SIGN ON: prompt.

DISable PUmp (DIS PU)

Use this command to disable a pump for service or operational problems. If pump is already
disabled, system displays PUMP ALREADY DISABLED.

Type DIS PU.
The system prompts ENTER PUMP #:

Type the required pump number.
The system responds PUMP DISABLED.

EDit RECord (ED REC)

Use this command to edit a record in the vehicle or manual entry file.

Type ED REC.
The system prompts Select File - (V)ehicle or (E)mployee:.
Note: The file name of the second file will differ depending on which name is used for your

manual entry file. These examples use the manual entry filename EMPLOYEE.

Type V or E.
The appropriate prompt appears depending on what you select.

• For the vehicle file (V), the prompts are Select (K)ey or (V)eh/dept (or (V)eh/Acct). Type

K or V. At the next prompt, type the number.

• For the manual entry file (E), the prompt is the manual entry field name. Type the number.
