Getting Started with the Stratix 5100 WAP
The Stratix 5100 WAP supports high-performing Spectrum Intelligence that
sustains three spatial stream rates over a deployable distance with high reliability
when serving clients. The access point provides high reliability and overall
wireless performance. The access point is standalone (autonomous)
configuration.
The Stratix 5100 WAP contains simultaneous dual-band radios (2.4 GHz and
5 GHz) with integrated and external antenna options. The access points support
full inter-operability with leading 802.11n clients, and support a mixed
deployment with other access points and controllers.
These are some of the features of the Stratix 5100 WAP.
• 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 802.11n radios that are simultaneous single-band or
dual-band radios
• Wi-Fi Standards 802.11 a/b/g/n
• 3TX (transmit) x 4RX (receive)
• 3 spatial streams, 450 Mbps PHY rate
• Throughput, forwarding, and filtering performance scan to meet 3 spatial
stream, 450 Mbps data-rates
• Maximum Data Rate 450 Mbps
• Workgroup Bridge (WGB) support that enables WGB radio interface to
keep connections to client alive
• Band Select
• Cisco Vector Beamforming.
• Implicit Co-phase beamforming for .11ag clients, 1 spatial-stream, and 2
spatial-stream clients
• Radio hardware that is capable of explicit compressed beamforming
(ECBF) per 802.11n standard
