11.4.2 Ethernet/IP Adapter (Maestro) Activation
To conserve system resources in cases where the protocol is not required, the Maestro
systems power up without Ethernet/IP support by default. The user must specifically
select his option from the user interface. After specifying the option, the Maestro must be
re-started.
The following symbol indicates that the adapter is offline:
There are two different methods which can be used to set the adapter online:
1. Set the Maestro directly to online by selecting the appropriate item from popup
context menu (Go Online)
2. Create (Add) one of the Ethernet/IP objects by selecting: (Add Device, Add
Assembly or Add Adapter Tag) as indicated below

To set the adapter offline, perform one of the following steps:
1 . Set the Maestro directly to offline by selecting appropriate item from popup
context menu (Go Offline)
2. Remove all of the Ethernet/IP objects by selecting: (Remove Device, Remove
Assembly or Remove Adapter Tag) from appropriate popup context menu shown in
Figure 11-7, Figure 11-8 and Figure 11-9.
