11.3 Product Classes
The Maestro implements the Ethernet/IP Adapter and Message class functionality over
an Ethernet/IP network. The Adapter Class and Message Class Ethernet/IP
implementation includes following features:
1. UCMM (unconnected) messaging from client to server
2. Class 1 (I/O) connection server (Assembly object)
3. Class 3 (connected) messaging server

11.4 Ethernet/IP Module Activation
To activate Ethernet/IP communication between Rockwell and the Maestro have to
initialize appropriate both the scanner (Rockwell) and adapter (Maestro) communication
objects.
11.4.1 Ethernet/IP Scanner (Rockwell) Activation
To communicate with the Maestro:
1. Add a new module as “Generic Ethernet Module” (see Figure 11-2)
