Performing an LDAP search (Advanced Search)
A destination can be searched for on the specified LDAP server based on the specified search conditions.

If "Manual Destination Input" in Utility mode is set to "Restrict" or if "Manual Destination Input "in the
Default Function Permission screen (displayed from the User Authentication Settings screen) is set to
"Restrict", the [Address Search] tab does not appear. For details on the "Manual Destination Input"
parameter, refer to "Prohibiting the direct input of fax number (Manual Destination Input)" on
page 10-80. For details on the parameters available in the User Authentication Settings screen, refer to
the User’s Guide [Copy Operations].
For details on the LDAP server settings, refer to the User’s Guide [Network Scanner Operations].

Touch [Address Search] in the Fax/Scan mode screen.

Touch [Advanced Search].

If multiple LDAP servers are registered, a screen for selecting a server appears. From the list, select
the server to be searched, and then touch [OK].

If settings have been specified for authenticating when connecting to the server, a logon screen
appears.

Specify the search conditions, and then touch [Start Search].

Touch [Name], [E-mail Addr.], [Fax Number], [Last Name], [First Name], [City], [Company Name] or
[Department], type in the condition, using the keyboard that appears, and then touch [OK].
