6.2 Sending a fax after adjusting the density of background color
(Background Removal)
Background Removal
Background Removal is a function that adjusts the background color density of the original. If original
background is colored, the background of the transmission data becomes black when it is scanned. In such
cases, original can be sent after adjusting the background color density of the transmission data.

Can be used in both original glass and ADF.
Sending the fax after adjusting the background

Press [Fax/Scan] key to display the Fax/Scan screen.

Load the original.
– For details on loading originals, refer to "Loading the original" on page 2-6.

Touch the buttons in the order of [Scan Settings], [Quality Adjustment].

Touch [Background Removal].
