– Confidential reception is possible even if the communication password is not set. In that case,
inform only the box number to the sender.

To confirm, enter the communication password again and touch [OK].

Touch [OK].
– Touch [Cancel] to discontinue the registration.
The box is registered.

Touch [Close].
– Returns to procedure 5 when the registration is to be continued.

Touch [Close] until it returns to Fax/Scan screen.
Working of confidential communication
In confidential communication, each fax machine operates with the following role.
Confidential transmission side
Fax is sent after specifying the confidential box
Communication password and confidential box number are specified and the fax is sent.
Confidential reception side
Open confidential box and confirm the details
Received original is stored in a specified confidential box in the memory.
Original in the confidential box can be printed/deleted.
