10 Utility mode
10.1 Utility mode operation
Settings related to the control of this machine are provided in the Utility mode. It is recommended that an
administrator should be appointed in advance to manage this machine in order to avoid confusion.
The method for displaying and exiting [User Settings] and [Administrator Settings] screens from the Utility
mode is explained below.

Utility mode can be specified in PageScope Web Connection.
PageScope Web Connection is a device management utility provided by the HTTP server that is
embedded in the device.
The settings of this machine can be changed by activating the Web browser with a network computer
and accessing the PageScope Web Connection.
The settings can be changed easily from an available computer even if you are far away from the
machine and even characters can be entered easily.
As there are settings that can be specified only in PageScope Web Connection, refer to the User’s
Guide [PageScope Web Connection Operations] for details.
Displaying User Settings screen

Press [Utility/Counter] key to display the Utility mode screen.

Touch [User settings].
Terminating User Settings screen
% Touch [Close] until it returns to Fax/Scan screen.
