Whenever document and paper dimensions are mentioned in
this manual, the value shown as Y in the illustration refers to the
width, and the value shown as X refers to the length.
If the length (X) is longer than the width (Y), the paper
orientation is indicated by w.
If the length (X) is shorter than the width (Y), the paper
orientation is indicated by v.
