Confidential transmission (F-Code TX)
Confidential transmission
A confidential transmission is a function to send an original to specific persons using a confidential box.
Sending an original to a confidential box on the recipient’s fax machine is called a confidential transmission
and receiving an original in this machine’s confidential box is called confidential reception. The procedure for
confidential transmission is explained here.

Note
For confidential transmission, a confidential box and communication password should be set on the
recipient’s fax machine.
The communication password might not be required by the recipient’s fax machine.
This function can be used only when the recipient’s fax machine has F-code functions. For details on
F-code, refer to the "Fax glossary" on page 12-6.
Following functions cannot be used simultaneously.
Polling TX, Polling RX, Bulletin board registration, Bulletin board Polling reception and Password TX

Press [Fax/Scan] key to display the Fax/Scan screen.
