Chain 1

data pads, a “
B
” is
displayed next to the ME when that ME’s background is part of the Back-
ground chain (
).
Note
An ME can only belong to one Background Chain at a time, so once chained
it will be grayed out and unavailable to the other chain.
Partition Sync Mode
There is no general need to chain the primary and secondary partitions of
an ME, this can be done by selecting both the
Pri
and
Sec
buttons in the
Source Select Module.
Partition Sync mode (
Sync Pri/Sec
buttons) synchronizes or “locks” the
chained background transitions together and puts the Lever Arm in a
primary transition-only state, with the secondary transition attached. If
you perform a Primary and Secondary transition without Partition Sync on
for a split ME, the two outputs may be slightly offset. Turning on a
SyncPri/Sec
button (
) precisely synchronizes the backgrounds for
transition.
