Configurable Functions

The NV9640 can be configured to perform the following functions:

• Previous Source, Free Source, and Quick Source.

• Lock/Release and Protect/Release for both sources and destinations.

• Return to a pre-defined (or default) state.

• Hold breakaway levels.

• System salvos.

• Change Panel ID and button illumination.

• In a multiple-panel configuration, a Force Release of a locked or protected device can be con-

figured for each NV9640. However, note that Normal Release and Force Release are mutually
exclusive on the same panel.

Additional Features

The following additional features are provided:

• The NV9640 supports multiple source breakaways in X-Y mode. This lets you route multiple

sources to the same destination on different levels.

• The panel supports gang or dub switching in multi-destination mode. The operator may route

single or multiple sources to multiple destinations.

• In “Info” mode, the panel displays error messages, lock or protect status, tieline information,

swapped level status, etc.

If you assign an X-Y/Multi-Destination button on your panel, it is a toggle: press it once for X-
Y mode (it turns green) and press it again for Multi-Destination (it turns amber).

NV9641

The NV9641 is an X-Y/multi-destination control panel featuring 16 LCD function buttons and 2
up/down (scroll) buttons. In X-Y mode, it can function as a “button-per-source” panel. This 1RU
panel is organized as shown in Figure B-1.
