Removing Devices from Categories

Removing a device disassociates it from the category; the device remains in the system.

Devices can be removed from categories using the ‘Categories’ page accessed through the ‘Config-
uration’ pane or using the ‘Category Details’ table accessed through the ‘Views’ pane.

How to Remove a Device Using the ‘Category Details’ Page

1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See

Launching and Exiting the Application

on page 12.)

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Configuration’ pane and then ‘Categories’. The ‘Catego-

ries’ page appears, as shown in Figure 10-25.
All categories currently defined in the system are listed. To narrow the list, enter the first char-
acters of the category’s name in the ‘Mnemonic Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced
to display only categories matching that character string.
Or
From the ‘Level Set Filter’ drop-down list, select a level set. The list is automatically reduced
to display only level sets matching the one selected.
