Managing Control Points
Updating Control Points
Control point information can be updated at any time. Changes made to a control point effect all
routers associated with that control point.
NV9000-SE saves all configuration changes to the database. Once changes are saved, there is no
“undo” function; the configuration is permanently altered. To implement configuration changes, the
NV9000 system controller must write the configuration changes to the system controller. For more

The computer name selected as a control point, parameters, and description are all updated using
the ‘Control Points’ table accessed through the ‘Views’ pane.
How to Update Control Points

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Control Points’. The ‘Control
Points’ table appears, as shown in Figure 7-31.
To narrow the list of control points that display, enter the first characters of a computer name in
the ‘Computer Name Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced to display only computers
matching that character string.
