B. Control Panels
NV9604
• Source mode, in which sources are chosen for selected routes.
• Destination mode, in which destinations are chosen for selected routes.
• Salvo mode, in which “system” salvos are run.
• Menu mode, in which the user can set the panel ID, button illumination, and review various
parameters.
Configurable Functions
The NV9603 can be configured to perform the following functions:

Previous Source
and
Free Source

Lock/Release
and
Protect/Release
for destinations only.
• System salvos.
• A menu to change Panel ID, adjust button illumination, and provide “read only” status for a
variety of other panel functions.
• In a multiple panel configuration, a
Force Release
of a locked or protected device can be config-
ured for each NV9603. However, note that
Normal Release
and
Force Release
are mutually exclu-
sive on the same Control Panel.
• The NV9603 supports multiple source breakaways. This lets you route multiple sources to the
same destination on different levels. Use
Level
buttons to make use of this capability.
NV9604
The NV9604 is a multi-mode 1RU control panel:
on page 261 for information regarding the ‘NV9604’ configuration page. The panel is
organized two sets of 16 buttons that can each be assigned functions, sources, or destinations.
(There is no display.)
