Deleting Categories
How to Remove a Suffix
1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See Launching and Exiting the Application on page 12.)
2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Suffixes’. The ‘Suffixes’ table
appears, as shown in Figure 10-32.
To narrow the suffixes that appear, enter the first characters of a suffix in the ‘Name’ Filter. The
list is automatically reduced to display only those suffixes matching the character string.

3 Click anywhere in the row listing the suffix being removed and click
Delete
. The row displaying
the suffix is removed.
4 Click
Save
.

To revert to the previously saved configuration, click
Revert to Saved
.
5 Click
X
on the window title tab to close the table.
Deleting Categories
Categories can be deleted at any time. Deleting a category removes it completely from the system.
Any suffixes and devices associated with a category remain in the system unless individually and
separately deleted.
NV9000-SE uses a relational database. This means that if a record is referenced by another record,
the deletion will not be allowed. If there are dependences, when the deletion is attempted, NV9000-
