How to Bind a Signal Type to a Virtual Level

2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Signal Types’. The ‘Signal Types’
table appears, as shown in Figure 8-33.
To narrow the list of virtual levels that display, enter the first characters of a virtual level in the
‘Virtual Level Filter’ field. The list is automatically reduced to display only virtual levels
matching that character string.
Or
Enter the first characters of a signal type in the ‘Signal Type Filer’ field. The list is automati-
cally reduced to display only signal types matching that character string.

. A blank row is added to the bottom of the list.
Column
Description
ID
Automatically assigned.
Name
Enter a name for the signal type. Be sure the name is unique. Do not use any
punctuation marks or symbols.
Description
Enter a description of the signal. It is strongly recommended that you use a
description commonly used in the industry.
