B. Control Panels
NV9604
Modes of Operation
The NV9604 panel can be configured as either a stand-alone panel (single destination, or limited X-
Y), or as an expansion panel for the NV9602 Multi-Mode Control Panel. The NV9604’s specific
mode cannot be changed at the panel itself. The modes of operation are:
• Single Destination Mode
Single-destination mode is the NV9604’s basic mode. The panel’s single destination is assigned
in the configuration file, and Takes are performed on all levels.
• Limited X-Y Mode
• When the NV9604 is configured as a “limited” X-Y panel, status is provided for one destination
at a time. That means that the button with the source routed to the selected destination will go
high tally.
• Expansion Panel Mode
In “expansion panel” mode, the NV9604 extends the number of source and destination buttons
of an NV9602 panel. Function (e.g.,
Free Source
,
Previous Source
) cannot be assigned to buttons.
Configurable Functions
Depending upon the selected mode, the NV9604 can be configured to perform the following func-
tions:
• Select a source and switch it to a destination.
• Select a destination.
• Execute a salvo.
• Switch the previous source of the currently selected destination to the currently selected desti-
nation.
• Switch a free source to the currently selected destination.
The NV9604 panel uses buttons having both green and amber LEDs. Each button has dual color
capability, and each provides three levels of tally: off, dim, and bright. (You can adjust the levels of
dim and bright.)
Note
In each configuration, a
Take
button is not required. As soon as the source is
selected, the route is completed to the pre-assigned destination.
