How to Add Virtual Levels to a Level Set Using the ‘Level Set Details’ Table
1 Launch NV9000-SE. (See
Launching and Exiting the Application
2 From the Navigation area, select the ‘Views’ pane and then ‘Level Set Details’. The ‘Level Set
Details’ table appears, as shown in Figure 8-16.
To narrow the list of level sets that display, enter the first characters of a level set name in the
‘Level Set Filter’ field.
Or
Enter the first characters of a virtual level name in the ‘Virtual Level Filter’ field.
Or
Enter the first characters of a physical level name in the ‘Phys Level Filter’ field.
Physical Level
Select a physical level from the drop-down list to associate with the virtual level (that
is, the virtual level maps to the physical level). Physical levels are entered when router
information is added. (See
Updating Router Physical Levels
Free Source
(Optional) Select a free source from the drop-down list to associate with the virtual
level. A free source is a source, usually black and silence, that can be routed to a
destination to free up that destination.
The drop-down list displays all devices defined as being associated with the current
level set, if any. From these devices you can choose a free source.
To add a free source device, you must first create the level set, add devices to it, and
then return to the level set and select the free source. See
