In the scanner driver, configure the scan settings to scan
the paper size of the long page.

Scanning a Book [fi-7700/fi-7700S]

Open the document cover.

Place a document on the document bed.

Place the document face-down to align its top left-hand corner with
the reference point.

ATTENTION

- Removing

Secure enough space around the stacker to prevent the
ejected sheet from falling off the stacker.

HINT

To scan documents longer than A3 size, perform the following:

Pull out the chute extension.
For details, refer to

"1.7 Setting Up the ADF Paper Chute

(Feeder)" (page 29)

Pull out the stacker extension all the way.
For details, refer to

"1.8 Setting Up the Stacker" (page 30)

ATTENTION

If you scan a long page document and split the scanned image into
multiple pages at a lower resolution (less than 400 dpi), the
document is scanned slowly regardless of the resolution setting.

ATTENTION

Note that a curled or folded document may create a small gap
between the document and the document bed, causing the
scanned image to be blurred.
